Winter nails!! TOP 5 nail polishes

Hello Internet! We’re only 1 day away from December, a little bitter sweet, since it’s the holiday season and yet again another year has gone by way too fast! Anyone else feel that?

Anyway! I did a list of my favourite lipshades and brands for the festive season so I thought, why not a list of my favourite nail polishes for the winter? Now,in no way am I saying that one shouldn’t wear bright colors or any color they love irregardless of what the season is, but these chosen shades are very winter inspired-inspired by the holiday season, winter and also a mix of some trends in the beauty world.

So let’s get started

unnamedSally hanson dark knight:

This dark blue shade, which almost looks like black is the perfect shade for when you don’t want to wear black but still want something just as dark for that new year eve party. This colour perfectly represents the longer winter nights.Plus it was also the same shade worn by Hazel of TFIOS 😛

Barry m in watermelon

Your Christmas tree needn’t be the only thing that is green, this dark green shade is perfect to get you in the Christmas mood.

barry m matte in crush:

Another Christmassy shade + trend alert.Red shouldn’t be the only thing that represents christmas. There are so many different shades of red that fits the bill just right.Paired with the matching sweater and there’s nothing cuter :). Matte nail polish is another trend that we’re currently seeing in the beauty world and I personally am obsessing over.(This image doesn’t look matte because I took the image right after I applied, but it dries completely matte)

Nykaa matte smores milkshake:

Like I said above,my obsession with matte is not an exaggeration and hence here’s another matte shade, this color is more on the pastel neutral shade for when you don’t want something as dark for the holidays

maybelline in noir onyx

Last but not the least, how can we forget the classic black to bring in the New year and to add class to any outfit.keep it simple and let your outfit do the talking 🙂

Here’s my  ‘least to best’ picks from the list(although there is no least, just a lesser preferred brand)

This is purely based on how long it lasts, application ease and cost
